Who We Are
“The Closet” is an initiative backed by the Scottsdale Police Foundation that supports high school students in the Scottsdale School District by providing essential items such as clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies. Located at Coronado High School, this resource ensures students have what they need to thrive academically and personally. Through collaborative efforts, we’re empowering our youth and building a stronger, more supportive community together.
History
“The Closet” initiative began a decade ago and has undergone significant evolution and refinement over the years. Three years ago, it found its current home at Coronado High School.
Partnership
In collaboration with the Scottsdale Police Department, school administration, and counselors, SPF identified “The Closet” as a vital program requiring additional support. This collaborative effort aims to address critical needs within our school communities. By pooling resources and expertise, we strive to create a safer and more nurturing environment for students, fostering their academic success and personal growth. Through strategic partnerships and community involvement, we are dedicated to enhancing initiatives like “The Closet” and uplifting our community's youth.
Our Mission
The Scottsdale Police Foundation is committed to offering free support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged students within the Scottsdale Public School District.
